A friend of mine, , is offering cheap hosting to anyone who was scammed by Null3d. He’s been a sponsor of a joint project between Huru, Mark Cole (threeman), Rick Hastings, and Henry Legge. He runs the hosting company PublicWebServer.net, which has superb uptime (he hosts jupiter.ircnode.org)

Here’s a message from Dave:

I recently established Publicwebserver to cater the a specific market, one that encorporates sites like techtuts, pixel2life, etc. It’s been hard getting the site going and has been made even harder by people like Jono that set their “5-minute-business” up and then run off brining distrust on the rest of us, even honest providers.

After much thought I believe it would be benificial to us in building up our market whilst at the same time giving something back to the community if we tried to help the victims of this attack.

Spread the word as the objective of this campaign is not only to promote ourselves but to help you aswell.

Obviously this isn’t a free giveaway to anybody so yuo will need to provide some form of proof that you got scammed. Although this is as simple as convincing me.

Quite a few people purchased a reseller web hosting plan from someone named “null3d” on TechTuts.com. Well, he disappeared, his server got suspended, and nobody got refunded. Here’s your chance to get a refund.

Even if you never bought hosting from him, flood his voicemail with messages, email him, sign him up for porn newsletters, fill out loan applications in his name (this one works well)

His name is Jonathan Verhees and he’s a spammer and a scammer. As one of his close friends describes him:

I was given access to the zozler.com beta and thought I’d share my thoughts and help the dev build some interest. I guess I should ask before I post, but it’s too late now - I’ve already taken screenshots.

zozler is a new social networking website created by Koolabar Media. I know what you’re thinking - “Social Networking? Aren’t there enough social networking websites?”. Well…yes…but zozler seems to add something that other sites lack. The homepage currently features a article about a indie rock group and the site is gentle on the eyes.

I checked out the photos section briefly and uploaded a few images. I set the image of the kid playing with bubble wrap as my photo, which shows up on my profile.

I saw this video on Revision3 today. It’s a clip from an episode of Tekzilla. The photos on the flickr group are amazing, so I gave it a try. My result is a scuff mark on the wall, and a very small dent on the top right of my iPhone. Oh well…

What a sad story. Hopefully they get the answers they’re looking for.
